Dry Pure Rice Starch
For those who wish to mix their own paste. This pure Japanese glutinous rice starch is archival, with a neutral pH. Paste recipe included.
To make nori (rice paste) that is the consistency of heavy cream, add 3 tablespoons of Pure Rice Starch to one cup of boiling water, stir briskly with a wire whisk and strain to remove any lumps.
The 4oz bag contains approximately 21 tablespoons of Pure Rice Starch, which will make seven cups of nori. The 16oz bag contains approximately 80 tablespoons of Pure Rice Starch, which will make 27 cups or 1.6 gallons of nori.
